A wonderful recording by Alto Saxophonist andClarinetist Marty Ehrlich. Not your blues bsed or bop based jazz, this is a personal, lyrical duet with the great pianist Myra Melford. With more than a nod to Eric Dolphy and drawing on his background with "avante" players like Muhal Richard Abrahams, Bobby Bradford, juious Hemphill and Andrew Hill there is a touch of challenge to go along with the beauty.
